Monica’s 184 Erasure Poems

Off and on from 2016 to 2018, Monica crafted erasure poems from books she was enjoying. She wound up with a total of 184 poems! Now you can read all of them on the site. Each poem includes a note indicating what book, and what pages she plucked the words from.

These are short poems and fun to take in a handful at a time. Tap the surprise me button to hop around the six source books: Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in America, Dan Egan’s The Death and Life of the Great Lakes, Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Bernard Moitessier’s The Long Way, Auguste Escoffier’s The Complete Guide to the Art of Modern Cookery, and Jim Harrison’s The Raw and the Cooked.

Enjoy, and thanks for listening.
